January 1, 2007

Lord, help us not to mess this one up like we did the last one! Wars and rumors of war, violence unchecked , families dying: let's not look back! "See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut." (Revelation 3:8 NIV) We may have plans but God has better plans for us; we need to be submissive to His plan. Of course, "we walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7); that is a part of the joy and excitement of January 1. Regardless of how things look for you today, Psalm 31:15 (NIV) is still true "my times are in Your hands." God knows what is going on in your life. Some are in a drunken stupor or drug-induced fog because they couldn't stand the idea of a New Year like the Old year. "God has planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:40NIV) Why stumble around in a circle of your own limited knowledge when God is waiting to reveal His truth? "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3 NIV) In the last year many crafty people took advantage of the of the limited knowledge of humans to enrich themselves on our insecurity. Don't let that happen again! Be assured! "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you." (Jeremiah 29:11-12 NIV) You see, you do have a choice about how you live in January and the year 2007. Surrender to God's plan for your life. Follow Jesus as THE Way to joy.

Happy New Year!
The Year 2006 presented many new challenges I knew I could NOT do without the guidance of our precious Savior & Lord Jesus Christ. He made each challenge into a complete pleasure & the best part of the year. You know that Impact Virginia was a blessing, but how could picking up trash along the banks of the Anacostia River also be a pleasure? In Christ everything including events not sponsored by the Church are a blessing with him at your side! Thank you Charlie and Praise you Jesus, Praise you!
I'll place my name since this is the first time I've used this web site and I'm not sure, how it will work. Jim Livingston (Rhoadesville Baptist Church)

Grace and peace to you from God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Happy New Year to you and your family. We are pleased to have met you and Faye at GFC. We are praying for you and your family. God is truly wonderful and merciful. Last year was a very blessed year for us. God revealed himself to us in a mighty way. Our desire is that others will experience God's love this year. God wants the very best for his children. We love to praise and worship God. When praise go up, blessings come down. No matter what our situation, we should always praise God. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit always.

p.s. I would like to publish a book on the Ministers that I have known with one page per each of them (or more). Would you consider writing a description of yourself & your ministry to be included?
